 EVA or Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Film
EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) used for laminated glass. It is a copolymer resin. The resin, together with a number of ingredients, is heated and mixed thoroughly and is then extruded through a flat die. EVA film is then formed.
EVA film is available with clear, white and many different colors. It contains no plasticizer. It is always packed in roll form. The outstanding adhesive EVA film is non-sticky and its surface is smooth.
EVA film is always used as an interlayer sandwiched in between two pieces of glass or plastic sheet.

Why EVA Film Becomes More Popular?
As architectural design becomes more and more sophisticated, glass is playing significant role in building construction and decoration. It leads to a diversified demand in laminated glass, not only in safety and security purposes, but also aesthetics, design, art and view control etc.
One of the most popular bonding interlayer films, nowadays, used for glass lamination is PVB. Despite PVB is expansive, PVB is delicate to handle. It requires a clean room with humidity and temperature controlled for the assembly of PVB film in between two pieces of glass. If the assembly is done under improper environmental condition, the result of the PVB laminated glass is not satisfactory. In addition, the production line is long and occupies large space. Meanwhile, an autoclave is required for final bonding. The investment in PVB laminated glass manufacturing facilities is high and the production cost is high. Only those large sizes of glass fabricator could afford.
However, there is an alternative with lower investment and lower operating cost. It is EVA laminated glass. Like PVB, EVA film is used to be an interlayer film sandwiched in between two pieces of glass. It is distinctive in giving versatile design and meanwhile, safety properties to match today’s architectural and decorative needs.

EVA Film for Solar Cell
The EVA film is applied to adhering solar cell on glass and solar cells on TPT.
